The North is often criticised for having poor weather and being populated by people wearing flat caps who all work in a mining related jobs, play in brass bands and go to watch rugby league at the weekends. The reality couldn’t be further from the truth however and the North of England has many gems that to this day remain undiscovered by people who live in other parts of the United Kingdom.

The city of Leeds is one such gem. Located in West Yorkshrie, Leeds is a wonderful example of a thriving city crammed full of history and culture. Outside of London it is one of the country’s largest centres for finance and legal services and in the Centre for Cities 2010 report, it was found to be one of the UK’s most important areas when it comes to the economic recovery. According to the report, more than one in three jobs in England (39 per cent) are found in either Greater London, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham or Liverpool.

When it comes to paying a visit to Leeds, you certainly won’t be disappointed. Enjoy fine food and shopping at the Leeds Corn Exchange, find out everything you could ever want to know about arms and armour at the Royal Armouries, or perhaps head to Middleton Railway and take a trip on the world’s oldest working railway. The growth of the city’s university has also added another dimension to Leeds and helps to give the city’s nightlife that feeling of excitement and an edge that is only found in university towns.

Of course one thing you must get right when booking a short city break is the hotel you’re going to stay in. Finding a bespoke hotel where all your needs are looked after is critical to making sure you have an enjoyable stay. To find the best deals and hotels with top notch facilities then make sure you go online first of all. Whether you are a food lover and want to make sure you have fine dining every night, or you’re a health fanatic and need to get in the gym first thing every morning, you’re sure to find the right hotel to suit your needs.

Spoil yourself with a boutique hotel in Leeds or perhaps look for luxurious hotels down in London. Wherever you’re heading you’ll find the best deals online.

Luxury Hotels on the Island of Jersey in the English Channel

Jersey, a quiet British island in the English Channel, is actually much closer to France than to Great Britain — it’s only 22 kilometers (14 miles) from France, but 161 kilometers (100 miles) from the English coast. It’s large enough to have several small towns spaced out over its 118 square kilometers (46 square miles), but small enough for everything to be close by.

Get the professionals to deal with your personal injury claim

Sustaining a personal injury can be simply devastating. Getting medical care is of course the very first thing that you are going to be concerned about, and so considering a compensation claim is possibly not going to occur to you straight away. However, the bottom line is that personal injuries that have been sustained through no fault of your own should be followed up by a personal injury claim.
